Track record reports
An independent measurement of a strategy's history, as a dated document an investor can read in five minutes.
It states how much of the record survives once the number of variants tried, the length of the sample and the shape of the returns are accounted for, under a published method, with the measurement window fixed in writing before anything is computed.
Who it is for
Anyone whose decision depends on whether a track record is skill or search.
Emerging managers
Raising first outside capital on a backtest or a short live record, and needing a measurement an allocator did not have to take on trust.
Allocators and family offices
Reviewing a systematic manager before allocating, and wanting the search behind the headline Sharpe accounted for.
Signal and strategy vendors
Selling a track record to subscribers, and wanting a dated, third-party figure beside the one on their own page.
Prop and quant traders
Deciding whether a strategy deserves capital, before the market answers the question more expensively.
What the report contains
Every figure carries the window it was measured over and the assumption it rests on.
- The claim as stated: window, when it was fixed, basis, and a fingerprint of the data received
- Return, volatility, drawdown, skew and kurtosis over the window
- Probabilistic Sharpe ratio, corrected for skew and fat tails
- Deflated Sharpe ratio for the number of variants tried, and whether that number was observed or declared
- Minimum backtest length, and how many variants the history can support
- Haircut Sharpe ratio under the strictest standard correction
- Probability of backtest overfitting, when every variant is supplied
- Scope: what the measurement covers, stated in the document itself
A complete report on a fictional strategy, exactly as a client receives it. It prints to a two page PDF from any browser.

For businesses and professional traders. Questions are welcome before ordering.
A report measures the history supplied, under the published method. Accounts, custody, fees and the existence of capital are matters for an auditor. The report assesses a record, never a manager or an instrument, and it is analysis rather than investment advice.
The history is used only to produce the report and is deleted after delivery unless you ask for it to be kept. The report is yours to publish or not.
